Uniform Reset

While students are responsible for their clothing and appearance, the parents are responsible for providing the conditions required to meet the standard, e.g., haircuts, shoes, shirts, skirts, and pants that fit correctly, etc. Parents are urged to understand the uniform requirements and to ensure that their children go to school each day in the proper attire, from head to toe.

It is an uncomfortable experience for a child to be corrected for a uniform violation, and repeated uniform issues can become an enormous distraction for students. The uniform is the basis of a dress code with a "professional," business-like standard. Our students should dress their best, look their best, and do their best. All clothing must be neat, reasonably pressed, and properly fitting. The parent will be notified if a child is deemed to be wearing inappropriate attire.

Since returning from winter break, we have encountered many students with daily uniform infractions or violations. On Monday, February 5th, we will be doing a campus-wide uniform reset. Please take time this weekend to review our uniform guidelines and discuss them with your students to ensure they are set up for success each day when coming to school. Uniform infraction forms will be sent home daily with students for violations with a deadline for compliance.

The most frequent violations that we are currently seeing are jewelry that is outside of our guidelines being worn, ladies' nail colors, lack of belts for students in grades 1-5, excessively long or unkempt hair (boys), non-uniform sweaters and jackets being worn within the building.
