Reminders:
- Please help us in reminding scholars to visit the Lost & Found in case they are missing anything such as water bottles, winter coats and sweaters. Lunch times, recess, and dismissal are great opportunities for scholars to visit the Lost & Found.
-Lower School Field Trip Payment
- If your scholar has brought home a Core Knowledge reader for either science or history, please help us ensure they are bringing it with them to school each day. Core Knowledge student readers are available to download online at no cost.
- School uniforms are checked each day. Scholars are reminded to have shoes tied and shirts tucked in. Additionally, each scholar must wear their house patch on the left sleeve of their uniform shirts and sweaters. Patches are available to purchase online as well as at the front desk for $2. Infractions may be issued for repeat and constant uniform/dress code violations. Here is a link for more information: GHWH Dress Code
- Scholars must have a personal copy of Where the Red Fern Grows by Wilson Rawls. In Literature, annotations are part of their Literature grade and not having their own book hinders them from annotating. A full list of GreatHearts classics to keep, with ISBN numbers, can be found at this link: Classics to Keep. If buying the book is a hardship, please reach out to your scholar's teacher.
- Scholars will receive study guides one week prior to a test with the expectation that they are completing it over the course of the week. Scholars will NOT receive study guides for quizzes but should review their notes each night in order to best engage with the content.
